SURFACES - CELEBRATE THE MOVEMENT OF CONCRETE
Modern living spaces allows for the layering of various materials, increasing the need for alternative surface materials. Concrete has become an alternative material of choice in interior spaces in the recent years. Designers and homeowners alike boldly take on creating bespoke interiors that are specifically suited to their desired design style or personal preferences.
Using concrete in these interior spaces would have meant a cast on site surface in the traditional concrete mix. This would have been a thick and heavy slab that would no doubt crack and stain. While this has worked for many in the past, it highlighted definite room for improvement, development and refinement.
We recognised this need early on in 2014 and decided to invest in the research and development of a new material that can be a refined version of cast in-situ concrete surfaces.
Limesite is concrete refined. A high-performance concrete that is highly fluid and designed to achieve:
A unique aesthetic

Scratch and stain resistance
Designed and engineered to be used as a kitchen surface it is comparable in weight to other surface materials at 63 kg per square meter.
The thickness of the slabs was designed to be aligned to other materials at +- 25mm thick allowing for easy retro fitting of installations and minimum fuss on new specifications.
Wolkberg’s signature aesthetic is our Dimensions surface. This surface texture is visually magnificent, it commands your attention and is sure to be a talking point in your newly designed space. We have taken a natural movement that occurs in concrete and refined it to create an aesthetic that has become our signature look and is sought after as an alternative to other surfaces.
No two slabs are ever identical. It is a solid and smooth to the touch surface.
TEXTURES | SILK
A smooth to the touch and silky looking concrete that has an in-mould finish. This surface is more comparable to that of a polished concrete or a fine quartz surface aesthetic.
